GBM 1 S23- Welcome Back! + Jackbox Night
Date - Wednesday, February 8th, 2023

For our first GBM of the Spring 2023 semester, Artists in Medicine held a “Welcome Back, Jackbox Night!” In this meeting we gave a brief introduction of our club and its mission, and also played the Jackbox game, Champ’d Up!

Event S23- Tzu Chi X AIM: Art from the Heart
Date - Wednesday, February 15th, 2023
Time - 7:30 to 9:00pm
Location - SAC Ballroom B
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Artists in Medicine collaborated with Tzu Chi to host our event “Art From the Heart.” In this meeting we created an anatomical heart collage using mini canvases that we plan to include in our showcase, and also made DIY self-care kits!

GBM 2 S23- The Storyboarding Process
Date - Tuesday, February 28th, 2023

For AIM’s 2nd GBM, “The Storyboarding Process” we worked on brainstorming, researching, and drafting our lesson topics while enjoying some cookies 🍪🍪. This was the first of our three-part workshop to create projects for our end of semester showcase!

Event S23- Tote Bag Painting
Date - Wednesday, March 8th, 2023
Time - 7:00 to 8:30pm
Location - Alan S. deVries Center- 204
For AIM’s 2nd Event, “Tote Bag Painting” we created some amazing artwork with fabric paint and paint pens on tote bags! This event also included a lesson feature “Aortic Dissections,” and medical kahoot to compete for enamel pins. We loved seeing all your creations, and hope you all had a good time!

Event S23- Cranes For A Cause
Date - Monday, March 20th, 2023
Time - 6:00 to 7:00pm
Location - SAC 303
“Cranes for a Cause” was a collaborative event that AIM hosted with the Origami Club, Tau Beta Pi, and Dumbledore’s Army! Here we folded paper cranes to be displayed in the Wang Center as the “Progress” pride flag, with extras being donated to Cranes for Cancer and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.

GBM 3 S23- Artwork
Date - Wednesday, March 29th, 2023
Time - 7:00 to 8:30pm
Location - SAC 305
For our 3rd GBM of the semester, AIM presented “The Artwork!” This GBM was also the second part in our 3-part project workshop to create lessons to be shown at our end of semester showcase. Here we presented a previous lesson and went over the creative process for making the artwork on ongoing lessons.

Event S23- MIM Fun And Fundraiser
Date - Wednesday, April 5th, 2023
Time - 5:00 to 8:30pm
Location - SAC Ballroom B
Thank you to everyone who came to the “Fun and Fundraiser” event with Mentors in Medicine! This event was a fundraiser for cancer where we raised a total of $544.50, all of which will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Congratulations to the winner of our art supplies raffle! Your support was very appreciated, and we were happy to see you all!

GBM 4 S23- Editing & Finalizing
Date - Tuesday, April 11th, 2023
Time - 7:00 to 8:00pm
Location - SAC 305
“Editing and Finalizing” was the last part to our 3-part Project Workshop to create pieces for our end of year showcase! Here we worked on putting the finishing touches on everyone's incredible pieces while enjoying some donuts. Thank you to everyone who was able to come, it was great seeing all of your finished pieces, and we hope you had a nice time!

Event S23- Anatomical Pictionary
Date - Tuesday, April 18th, 2023
Time - 7:00 to 8:00pm
Location - Melville Library W4535
“Anatomical Pictionary” was our 3rd event of the Spring 2023 semester. Here we teamed up with a partner and played Pictionary using a pool of topics in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology and Chemistry, and Random prompts. It was great seeing all of your drawings and we hope you had fun! Congratulations to the winner as well!
